Ice Cream Cones

Wow, two posts in one day! Tonight, after cheese burgers and hot dogs on the grill, Sean made the kids ice cream cones. They were all so excited. Mary, Liam, and Fionn had never had ice cream cones before. So this was going to be interesting.....

This is Marys first lick. She was pleasantly surprised! She kept trying to bite the bottom of the cone first...lol, She had us all laughing hysterically.

Next was Liam. This was the excited look he gave after Daddy handed him his cone. One lick and he was laughing and kicking happily. He ate his entire cone without a single drip. You would think he had been eating them for years. He did the best job of them all.

Fionny was next in line. He took right to it as well. He, unlike Liam, licked the ice cream off the top and when it was level with the top of the cone, ate around the handle of the cone, so all the rest of the ice cream dripped all over the table....sigh.

Cian was next. He and his freakishly long tongue, licked every last drop of the ice cream and ate the cone with no problem.

Last was Declan. He ate his entire cone in a record breaking 4 minutes. Where does he put all that food.

All in all, it was a success! I love summer time when we can barbecue and eat ice cream all day. Tomorrow we'll do it all over again!

Oh, one last thing. I cut Marys bangs today. Sean said I gave her a mullet. "Business in the front, party in the back" he said. Now he calls her Mullet Mary. My poor baby girl. He's so mean.

Joined the GLEE wagon!

Sorry I haven't blogged in awhile. It has been kinda nuts-o around here. I'll post a rundown of what we've been up to these past few weeks.
So, thanks to my Mother and good friend Andy, I have joined the Glee frenzy. I have to admit, I never really watched the first season. I saw the episode "Sectionals" and was disgusted by the idea of promoting teen pregnancy and cheating. After watching half of the episode, I turned it off and swore never to watch it again. However, my dear friend Andy convinced me to give it another try. I have always been a big fan of musicals, and lets face it, that's pretty much what Glee is. So, I went back last week and watched the entire first season online. Needless to say, I'm hooked. Did I mention that I have a secret lusting for Mr. Shoe....lol. Thank you very much Andy!!!!

Life has been pretty stressful for the last two weeks. As I had mentioned in a past post, Sean has a new MM (Market Manager) that is a POMPOUS ASS. The guy started off on a total in your face, power trip. No more overtime and all RSM schduels must be pre-approved. The company also changed the commission structure, which is now based on Post activations only. (A Post activation is an account that requires good credit to activate.) Unfortunately, the majority of people that try to acquire an account, have bad credit. For the last two months, Seans' store has not been able to meet this goal. His commission went from being very high to very low. Without overtime, his paychecks have dropped immensely. We have been financially strapped for the last month. Sean estimated that he took a $1500 pay cut last month alone...ouch.

Sean had a meeting with his new boss one on one about two weeks ago. He gave Sean some good pointers on how to push more Post sales. He also praised Sean on his store and gave him the go ahead for some overtime! I am happy to announce that He and his staff exceeded their Post goal for May. Anything beyond their goal is an accelerator. Unfortunately, Sean is off the last three days of this month, so it is up to his staff to make that happen.....sigh.

This past week has been pretty stressful. I am trying to finish up term 3 with Declan and Cian in school. Sean has had an awful week at work. Three doubles, a visit from the Pompous Parade (Three MMs in his store trying to one up each other.) and meeting his goal. He has been in an AWFUL mood all week and kinda took it out on me. Nothing too bad, just bitchy and mean. He did say much of anything to me for almost three days. Thank goodness he has these three days off, because the entire month of June is going to be awful.

The kids are doing well. Mary is talking and singing like crazy. Lizzie (Wuzzies) is about to start crawling and she is starting to sit up unattended. Not too much going on with the other 4. Declan and Cian are starting term 4 in school next week. Fionn and Liam are their usual bratty selves. That's pretty much all that I have for now. Hope you all are having a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend. We are remembering our brave men and women who lost their lives for our country with a barbecue this afternoon! God Bless them!!!

Birthdays and illness.....

Wow, it's been awhile since my last post. We've had a lot going on in the past two weeks. Here is a run down.....

Friday, the 30th was Fionnys 3rd Birthday. Unfortunately Sean had to work, so we decided to postpone his Birthday until Monday. Sean was going on an 8 day PTO (Paid time off) that Monday, so what a perfect time to celebrate! We had a wonderful day. The kids and sean played pin the tail on the donkey and baseball outside for most of the day. We grilled cheese burgers and opened presents. Again, another child wanted an ice cream cake, sop back to Baskin Robins we went. Here is a picture of the cake.

After burgers we did presents. He got a stuffed Woody doll and Buzz Lightyear (He is in a Toy Story kick). 24 pack of play-doh, Henry the train, his first baseball glove and ball and a Zu-Zu pet. Wouldn't you know it, the Zu-Zu pet was a hit with all of them. Here are a few pictures of the preset opening....

After presents, we did the cake. Please excuse Seans' attire.

Blowing out the candles without setting his hair on fire. He blew them all out himself!

One very happy Birthday Boy!!

I had planned on do school the entire week Sean was off....ya, that didn't happen. The kids just don't pay attention when Sean is off, so we decided to get some much needed spring cleaning done. We put the kids to work all week. Needless to say, they were not pleased...lol. By Saturday, the 8th Sean started coming down with something. He had slept the night before with a dirty fan blowing right on him. He woke up the next morning with a sore throat and stuffy sneezy nose. By that evening, he had a fever. Sunday morning...Mothers' Day, full blown FLU!!! He was achy, feverish, sore throat, sneezing and stuffed up. So much for Mother's Day. I spent the entire day waiting on HIM hand an foot. Now I have a sore throat.......just in time for him to go back to work tomorrow.

Here are a few more pictures of the kids over the last week and a half...enjoy!
