Where Did I Come From....

Ever wonder where you came from? I mean, who your parents really are. I grew up with my mother and step-dad in AZ. I never knew my "real father". It was one of those subjects you were never allowed to talk about. I don't even know what he looks like. I was told I looked a lot like him by my Aunt Rene (RIP). I don't know where he lives, whether I have siblings (I'm an only child), or other grandparents. I don't even know where his family was from or what nationality they are. I know that my mothers' side are Polish, Ukrainian, and Irish, but do I have other blood? What about diseases? Does cancer run in his family, or worse? I have 8 children who ask frequently who their real grandfather is. I have looked for him, with no success. In fact, I couldn't even find a marriage or divorce record on them.

With the passing of Aunt Rene, some weird stuff was found in her apartment. Paperwork that belonged to my Mother, regarding their divorce. She had no idea why Rene had that paperwork, or what she was doing with it. She, of course, wouldn't let me see the paperwork, so I don't even know what his full name or birth date is. That makes searching difficult. Since we are on a tight budget these days, spending large amounts of money to do a search is out of the question. So I guess I just have to hope maybe he would want to look for me. But he hasn't tried thus far, so I guess its just wishful thinking.

Good Bye Aunt Rene

In loving memory of my amazing Aunt Rene. She passed away suddenly on July 2, 2014 in AZ. The service is being held today.

My heart is completely broken. This amazing women has been a huge part of my life since the day I was born. She helped raise me. She took me on some of my most memorable vacations, including my first trip to San Diego Zoo. She was at my wedding and the birth of my first child. She was always there to listen when no one else would. She never forgot a single one of my children's birthdays, even if she couldn't afford to get them a gift. She played Farmville with me for hours and hours.

I cannot believe she is gone. She left early in the morning for a dr. appointment. Made it home, and for some reason, passed away in her car. She did not suffer a heart attack or stroke. We will find the results of her death in 6-8 weeks. She was on 63. To those who still follow her on Facebook, I am very sorry to inform you this way. She is at peace and resting with a Pepsi in her had!

God Bless Aunt Rene....I love you.
